International Leadership Outreach (ILO)
ILO's mission is encouraging international networking, exchanging ideas, perspectives and visions with local and global leaders, for creating future self-sustaining economic opportunities. ILO found its niche collaborating with local leaders creating a better future for their community who are committed to ensuring successful outcomes. A hallmark of these projects is strengthening the most vulnerable children and youth by developing their autonomy and leadership.
Freedom Kits of Yakima Tour
Fred and Angel received a tour of Freedom Kits of Yakima!
Fred and Angel Sebaggala learned the process of assembling sani-pad kits, were taught basic skills to thread ribbon into the drawstring bag and trace a pattern for a shield. Fred spoke to the volunteers and thanked them for the time and effort they have devoted to this important work.
What is ILO all about?
Girls in Kenya stay home 5 to 7 days a month because they don't have access to sani-pads. We began a project in which we teach the girls and women how to make reusable sani-pads, AND we donate reusable sanitary pad kits to the vulnerable girls in Kenya. For $10 they get a kit that will last them for 3 years!
